Somebody doesn't want his picture taken with Fanale

Jennifer Jean Miller over at NJ Inside Scene had a well-written, personal story about her troubled relationship with David Fanale and his fiancée.   It featured a photograph of a group of people at a recent event.  Standing side by side was the former Franklin Councilman and Republican Sussex County Freeholder George Graham.  Everyone looked happy.

But apparently someone wasn't happy because a few hours later the photograph was cropped.

Is the Sussex County GOP about to go Orwell on us?  Are they going to act like David Fanale, once a Republican Party County Committeeman and an elected Republican on Franklin Borough Council, wasn't part of their organization?  Are they going to deny that they supported him and that he supported them?  Is he in danger of becoming a nonperson?

It looks like the cleansing has already begun.

It's funny that it's starting with Freeholder Graham, who tried mightily to cleanse from existence all memory of his long history as a Democrat political consultant in Hudson County and as an elected Democrat in Sussex County who switched to Republican then back to Democrat to vote in the 2008 Democratic Party Presidential Primary and then back to Republican to pursue bigger things.  Talk to him today and he's a Ronald Reagan/ Steve Lonegan kind of guy.

Well, they're not called politicians for nothing.

By  the way, Watchdog got hold of the original photograph and, as an aid to honest memory, is publishing it here.  Outside of former Councilman Fanale, who published some unworthy and juvenile stuff on Facebook, nobody in the photo has anything to be ashamed of.  They didn't do anything wrong.  However, whoever demanded that the photo be cropped is guilty of tampering with the historic record, and with the truth.

David Fanale could be a pleasant, charming person.  He is a human being and like the rest of us has his mix of good and bad.  As an elected official he took a controversial route and his means of expressing his position crossed the line into juvenile and unworthy antics.  It finished him as a councilman in Franklin.

So here's the lesson for the Sussex County GOP.  The positions held by David Fanale were always there.  They were not new.  But as with so much else, the leaders and members of the Sussex Republican power structure see only what they want to see.  So-and-so is a nice guy, let's not see the fact that he switched back to his old party to vote for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.  So-and-so is a good guy, so let's not see the fact that he's using his official position to lobby on behalf of county vendors.  So-and-so is a real friendly guy, so let's not see the fact that he gets a little unhinged when he starts talking about the police.

Instead of purging history and indulging in make-believe, shouldn't it be time for you to wake up?

You remove my photo immediately from your blog...you do not have my permission to use it.

By the way...if you were so savvy you would have read it was a file photo...so the original photo remains intact on my site...you do not steal intellectual property...you will be reported for copyright infringement.

Guess J. J. Miller never heard of the Fair Use doctrine. What kind of journalist is she that she doesn't know it?

"Fair use is a limitation and exception to the exclusive right granted by copyright law to the author of a creative work. In United States copyright law, fair use is a doctrine that permits limited use of copyrighted material without acquiring permission from the rights holders. Examples of fair use include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship."

Why the cover up?

You are not covered under the Fair Use Act...sorry...
No cover up Rabid Mad Dog...the original photo is already on there, and the edited one...and the video...sloppy researcher...do I need to school you on that too?

Well, I think they are. I mean, I can't even find an advertisement on this website, so it is pure commentary. Unless you happen to sell your photographs as art? Is this photograph art? What value do you place on it? And why then would you so recklessly publish it?

Name calling, as in "Rabid Mad Dog" is so very Fanalesque. Why is that necessary? Is it the last refuge of those lost for words?

Are you aware that to "school" someone once had sexual overtones? It's used a lot these days. Very boarding school. Too much.

Why don't you simply write a nice letter to the website and explain to them why you think they are wrong. Maybe they'll publish it. If you behave like a journalist (instead of a name caller) maybe they will do as you ask and remove your work of art. Just for asking. Just by being people. Why don't you try it?

Something is up with her. Looks like she totally lost her mind over what she perceives as an offense against dandy George Graham.

Miller has her own consulting business apart from her website and we don't know the interconnections and the pressure she could be under. Graham has a consulting business too and he did a lot of work for Democrats in Hudson County. I remember when he bragged about it. Direct mail is one of his services and she does design work so maybe they collaborate from time to time.

I'm only speculating, but if she does have a relationship with Graham she should disclose it if she wants to keep calling herself a journalist.

Graham is a elected politician AND a politicl consultant with a direct mail business.

Miller has a blog AND is a consultant too.

Rabid Dog is a political consultant with a direct mail business in competition with Graham.

This blog raises a point about Graham so he gets Miller to attack his competition.

I guess Miller's blog and this blog are competitors too.

It is too fucked up to keep straight.

Jenifer Jean Miller has something new that links to the website that freeloader Rich Zeoli and the Skylands Pac put up to try to stop the OPRA requests coming that dug up their scam over at the county landfill. Zeoli was collecting money through his consulting business from Mulvihill and his wife was on the payroll of Thorlabs while he was freeholder. Is Miller down with that corrupt shit???

Remember their slogan to 'Treat everyone that we meet as we wish to be treated.'

Everyone in the know knew what that meant. Don't call us out for stealing from the taxpayers and we won't call your friends out for stealing from the taxpayers.

The person who had that website is dead now so I don't know why Miller is linking to a blog attacking a dead man and the other one they attacked doesn't work in Sussex County anymore so I guess all the thieves are in trouble now. Is Miller stupid or does she know she is shilling for crooks?
