LONEGAN: DAN PEREZ IS A FAR-LEFT DEMOCRAT

Contacted while fundraising among Sussex County's auto dealers, 5th District Republican congressional candidate Steve Lonegan was asked about Democrat candidate Dan Perez' characterization of himself as a "Tea Party Democrat."  Lonegan, the father of New Jersey's modern conservative movement and the founder of New Jersey's Americans for Prosperity couldn't have been blunter:  "Perez is no Tea Party anything," Lonegan said.  "He is a fraud, a leftwing Democrat fraud."

According to his resume, Dan Perez was an associate at the law offices of Marxist attorney William Kunstler.  Perez later managed Kunstler's old firm in partnership with Kunstler's old law partner, Ron Kuby.

Pay attention to the Ken Burns documentary on Vietnam now airing on PBS and you will see William Kunstler in action, defending terrorists, communist agitators, American flag-burners, and the supporters of a North Vietnamese victory over the armed forces of the United States of America.  The clients Perez handled were a continuation of this Kunstler leftist mantra.

The Kunstler law firm defended members of the Catonsville Nine, Black Panther Party, Weather Underground Organization, the Attica Prison rioters, and the American Indian Movement.  But  Kunstler refused to defend groups like the Tea Party, on the grounds that: "I only defend those whose goals I share. I'm not a lawyer for hire. I only defend those I love."

Kunstler defended Joanne Chesimard (AKA Assata Shakur) who was convicted of murdering a New Jersey State Trooper and who escaped from prison with the help of fellow terrorists.  She is now on the FBI's MOST WANTED list.

In collaboration with Dan Perez' law partner Ron Kuby, Kunstler defended Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, head of the terrorist group Gama'a al-Islamiyah, responsible for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; Colin Ferguson, the man responsible for the 1993 Long Island Rail Road shooting; Glenn Harris, a New York City public school teacher who absconded with a fifteen-year-old girl; Nico Minardos, indicted by Rudy Giuliani for conspiracy to ship arms to Iran; and associates of the Gambino organized crime family.

That's quite a line-up of scumbags.

Democrat Perez claims that he wants to "lower taxes by opposing wasteful spending" but the record shows this to be little more than election year b.s.   It was Perez who pushed the Freeholder boss to spend $500,000 to hire a New York City lawyer to tell the county what went wrong on its solar project.  Unfortunately for county taxpayers, the guy Perez pushed (and who was hired) was the same guy whose office had given the project the okay back in 2011.  So taxpayers paid $500,000 for a cover-up.

And it was Dan Perez who made his first proposal as a candidate a spending proposal -- to spend another $100,000 plus benefits on a patronage job because it "sounded like it might work."   Blindly throwing money at problems is bad public policy.

Democrat Dan Perez strongly supports funding Planned Parenthood and personally reprimanded Assemblywoman Gail Phoebus for voting against it.  As a Freeholder, you can bet that Dan Perez would spend our tax money on Planned Parenthood.  That's just for starters.

In a book he wrote on the subject, Steve Lonegan explained that conservatives believe in pulling power away from centralized governments at the state and federal levels and turning over more control to municipal and county governments.  Who runs local government is important because they set the agenda.  Liberals will fix their eyes firmly on the state and on Washington  for money and direction.  Conservatives will seek to break those bonds, while making sure to protect and defend traditional values at the local level through actions and the good use of the bully pulpit.

Conservatives like Steve Lonegan understand that Dan Perez is a big-spending, high tax, leftist.  Perez is trying to paint a different picture of himself, but he has a long history that says otherwise.

Hayden blocks firefighters, endangers Sussex County

New Jersey has some of the most noxious bureaucrats in America -- renown for using their power to obstruct and destroy worthy projects just for the sake of doing so, to show-off their power, and flex their government muscles.  DEP and DOT are two of the worst offenders.

Curiously, these two have been known to cancel-out their own projects -- government projects -- over a turf war or just to see who has the biggest cojones.  In this, they exhibit the behavior of a pack of primates --threat-facing and throwing feces.

Everyone respects and admires the vital volunteer work done by first responders and firefighters.  It is essential, life-saving work.  Only a petty, self-important bureaucrat would seek to disrupt that work.

Such a bureaucrat is William Hayden.

William J. Hayden (AKA Bill Hayden, Dell Hayden, Skylands Patriot ) is an 18 year public employee of the New Jersey Department of Transportation.  He works as a supervisor, based in Trenton.  Trenton sends him out on the road to regulate -- or rather, retard -- projects.  In  this way, something that should take a few months to complete, takes a few years -- and, of course, a lot more money.

Bill Hayden is the fraud, waste, and abuse the Reason Report talked about when they said how much money it takes NJDOT to do a project.  There is always some smarmy bureaucrat around to add extra time and a few extra millions onto a project.  What is unique about Hayden is that he is both the bureaucrat regulator, delaying and adding costs to DOT projects, and a candidate for office complaining about the added costs he causes as a bureaucrat regulator.  Yes, a real down-and-dirty hypocrite.

Earlier this year, the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company became one of Hayden's victims.  Hayden happened to be riding by the new firehouse they are trying to build.  In was an invitation for Trenton bureaucrat Hayden to lord-over the Sussex County firefighters.  Of course, Hayden found something wrong.  Apparently, the new firehouse driveway was one-foot off from the map.  This happens often enough.  Nearly a third of the properties in America have surveying issues -- and many are a lot more than a foot.

But that didn't stop Hayden from making the firefighters rip-up the driveway and redo it.  Instead of finding a solution that wouldn't cost so much, "Fraud-Waste-and Abuse" Hayden went full bureaucrat on them.

This is why it costs so much to do anything in New Jersey.  Regulation and bureaucrats like Hayden.

The firefighters are a voluntary organization of people who risk their lives to protect their fellow citizens.  They are an asset to their community.  They invested a great deal of money into their new facility and every regulatory, bureaucratic delay affects the fiscal well-being of the organization.

Torturing the firefighters over the driveway wasn't enough  for Hayden, he "found" other problems too.  Some speculate that he has a personal grudge against the firefighters, while others say it is just business as usual at the DOT.  Either way, isn't it time to order DOT bureaucrat regulators to work with important community assets like firefighters and first responders?  Instead of this "gotcha" mentality, why not smooth the way and help to get the project completed?

Hayden has responded by claiming that "the firehouse were out of conformance with their permit, and it was expired."  Well then Mr. Trenton Bureaucrat, GET THEM A NEW ONE ASAP!  Help them back into "conformance" -- this isn't a bordello we are talking about, Bill Hayden, it is a FIRE HOUSE!!!  We can do without a bordello, but a fire house is pretty darn important.

And what Trenton bureaucrat Hayden doesn't tell you is that it was his dicking around that led to the firehouse being out of "conformance" and wasting time so that its permit expired.  Hayden tries to blame his actions on legal concerns -- when he caused the delays that led to them.

As a DOT supervisor, Hayden pockets a salary and extras more each year than any legislator earns -- plus full benefits and a pension.  Hayden is a member of the CWA -- one of the most liberal unions in America.  Hayden's union has endorsed leftwing Democrat Phil Murphy for Governor.

Hayden doesn't care enough about the issues to fill out questionnaires from the NRA or New Jersey Right to Life.  And Hayden doesn't vote much.  He made it last November, but the last time before that was 2010.  Now he thinks we should give him a second public job -- as our legislator.

Hayden is being aided and abetted by two cronies -- Nathan Orr and David Atwood -- who have chosen to endorse Hayden on the issues -- especially on those he doesn't care about.  Orr and Atwood applaud Hayden's lewd behavior and dirty tactics, and for that reason are running a joint campaign with him.

Hayden is the Fraud-Waste-and Abuse at DOT that the Reason Report talked about.  He is a drain on taxpayers and especially, on property tax payers.

Watchdog agrees Gray & Gorman are liars

At 3 PM today, the campaign of David Gray and Kathleen Gorman sent out another email trying to impersonate this website.  They have done this throughout their campaign.

FOR THE RECORD. . .  Watchdog isn't supporting any particular candidate in the June 7th Republican Primary.  We have found it necessary to step in because Freeholder candidates David Gray and Kathleen Gorman have used our name to disseminate information -- some which has been grossly false -- about their opponents, George Graham and Sylvia Petillo.

Now this is real dirt bag behavior and suggests to us that Gray and Gorman couldn't be trusted to honestly represent the people of Sussex County. Maybe they can't help it?  Maybe, like the Clintons, they were just born liars?  We don't know why and we would prefer it to be none of our business, but when Gray and Gorman use our name to attack others, it becomes our business.

So that is why each and every time they misrepresent us, we put out our own "corrective" to even the score.  It keeps Watchdog balanced, even-Steven.

Oh, and did we mention that knucklehead David Gray is being sued by the office manager of his own law firm?

Gray is being sued under New Jersey's Conscientious Employee Protection Act.  The plaintiff, Juliette Bresnahan, is a single-mother of three who worked full-time as the office manager of David Gray's law firm.   Here's what the lawsuit alleges:

". . . around mid-October 2015, Gray informed Bresnahan that he received a tax bill for around $62,000.  Gray indicated that he was unsure how he would pay this bill. . .

. . . Gray's directive was aimed at intentionally falsifying and fraudulently increasing the bills to generate more revenue to the firm to extricate it from its current financial predicament."

State Judge: David Gray over-charged taxpayers

"Attorneys who represented a former East Newark police dispatcher in a sexual assault lawsuit were awarded less than one-tenth of the amount they sought in attorney fees by a Hudson County judge.

David Gray and Paul S. Foreman, who represented the Woodland Park woman and helped her get a $101,000 settlement in June, had sought more than $1.2 million in fees. In his brief, Foreman said he and Gray expended 1,990.5 hours at an billing rate of $395 an hour.

But Hudson County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Espinales-Maloney ruled earlier this month that the hours billed for some of their services were unreasonable, and knocked down the award of fees to slightly more than $93,000, according to the decision.

Foreman and Gray were not immediately available for comment this morning."

                                                                        (Jersey Journal, November 24, 2014)

That's right, David Gray wanted to charge taxpayers $1.2 million for the $101,000 settlement he got his client.  That's anyone's definition of "highway robbery".
