Orr and Atwood caught in another lie

Candidates Nathan Orr and David Atwood (AKA David Wygonski, Dave Wygo, et al) have been running an ad in which they make the outrageous lie that Assemblyman Parker Space and Assembly candidate Hal Wirths voted for Bail Reform legislation.  They certainly did not.

Assembly candidate Hal Wirths was not a member of the Legislature and could not vote on S-946.

Hal Wirths' running mate, Assemblyman Parker Space, voted NO.

Hal Wirths has made his position very clear:

Harold Wirths, R

The intent of the bail reform constitutional amendment was to give courts discretion in either allowing the release or the detention of persons arrested based on concerns on whether or not they are a threat to public safety. The Legislature was also authorized to pass laws concerning pretrial release and detention.

If elected, I will work with Senator Oroho, Assemblyman Space and law enforcement to rein in judges that are allowing those who are a threat to society back out on the streets.

In addition, as a freeholder who spent nearly a decade as liaison to the sheriff and the jail, I understand how much the county-operated justice system costs taxpayers. The goal of bail reform was to cut the costs of incarceration, and that would be the trade-off for a speedier system. As conservatives, we will work to minimize the impact these changes have on taxpayers.

And Assemblyman Parker Space voted NO.

That makes Nathan Orr and David Atwood... liars, again.

On top of this, Atwood and running mate Bill Hayden couldn't be bothered to vote on the public question of bail reform when it was placed on the ballot in November 2014.  Both Atwood and Hayden failed to vote in that election or in most other elections, for that matter.  Atwood missed every election in 2013, 2014, 2015, and the primary of 2016. Hayden missed every election in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and the primary of 2016.

And now they lie about Parker Space and Hal Wirths on top of it.

Hayden is anti-Second Amendment, disses NRA

Despite all his big talk, when it came time to fill out his NRA questionnaire about issues concerning the Second Amendment, candidate William Hayden wasn't conversant enough with the details to fill out the questionnaire.  So he didn't turn one in.

Senator Steve Oroho has been a leader on Second Amendment issues. His legislation has been recognized by gun rights leaders and hunters.  He has been supported by the National Rifle Association (NRA), Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC), Second Amendment Society (2AS), Gun Owners of America (GOA), and the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance (NJOA).

Senator Oroho and his running mates Assemblyman Parker Space and Assembly candidate (and former Labor Commissioner) Hal Wirths are all NRA life members and firearms owners.  Their legislative agenda is committed to winning concealed carry in New Jersey and reforming the pistol permit purchasing system to eliminate redundant waiting periods and fees.

William J. Hayden (AKA Bill Hayden, Dell Hayden, Skylands Patriot ) is an 18 year public employee of the New Jersey Department of Transportation.  He works as a supervisor, based in Trenton, where he pockets a salary and extras more each year than any legislator earns -- plus full benefits and a pension.  Hayden is a member of the CWA -- one of the most liberal unions in America.  Hayden's union has endorsed leftwing Democrat Phil Murphy for Governor.

Just like he doesn't care enough about the issues to fill out a questionnaire, Hayden doesn't vote much.  He made it last November, but the last time before that was 2010.  Now he thinks we should give him a second public job -- as our legislator.

Hayden is being aided and abetted by two cronies -- Nathan Orr and David Atwood -- who have chosen to endorse Hayden on the issues -- especially on those he doesn't care about.  Orr and Atwood applaud Hayden's lewd behavior and dirty tactics, and for that reason are running a joint campaign with him.

Real conservatives and true supporters of the Second Amendment know who they can trust and who gets the job done for them:

Poor Bill Hayden, on the issues that matter, he's the questionable candidate.

DOT caught red-handed trashing signs to help Hayden

It is illegal for state employees to use taxpayers' money -- government time, government equipment, and government authority -- to favor one political candidate over another.  Now, employees of the New Jersey Department of Transportation have been caught doing so on behalf of fellow DOT employee William J. Hayden.

Several readers have responded to Watchdog's call requesting witnesses and video or photographic evidence.  All have agreed to testify at any forthcoming criminal or civil (federal civil rights) legal proceeding against one or more of following:  The New Jersey Department of Transportation, the individual employees, the CWA union, the Committee to Elect William Hayden, and William J. Hayden, individually.

Here is what one witness observed and then forwarded to Watchdog, along with photographic evidence:

"I witnessed NJ State DOT employees removing signage along Route 94 in McAfee and Hamburg.  I stopped and told them I believed their actions were illegal. They told me the signs were on State right of way and they were doing what their boss told them to do.  I do have a picture.  Call to discuss if you like."

"Attached picture taken on Route 94 across from entrance to Crystal Springs at 9:30 this morning.  Also removed signage on 638 in Highland Lakes, but miraculously Bills signs remain.  Check intersection of 515 & 638.  Orohos' signs removed, but Bill Haydens' remain."

Hayden doesn't vote much.  He made it last November, but the last time before that was 2010.  Now he thinks we should give him a second public job -- as our legislator.

Hayden is being aided and abetted by two cronies -- Nathan Orr and David Atwood -- who have chosen to endorse Hayden's behavior and tactics, and who are running a joint campaign with him.  Perhaps Orr and Atwood should be asked if they approve of using government money, personnel, and equipment to thwart free speech and to obstruct the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States of America.

But even more importantly, why are New Jersey's legislators voting to force taxpayers to fund the Department of Transportation, when this kind of undemocratic, 1930's middle-European thuggery is winked at?  Those involved should resign out of shame.

DOT career bureaucrat Hayden claims DOT is corrupt

He doesn't vote much.  He made it last November, but the last time before that was 2010.  Now he thinks we should give him a second public job -- as our legislator.

This week, Hayden and his two cronies -- Nathan Orr and David Atwood -- ran a paid political campaign ad in a Morris County newspaper.

In the campaign ad, Hayden makes the claim that he sees "wasteful spending first hand."  Of this, we have no doubt.

But why is it that Hayden, as a Trenton-based DOT supervisor, over the past 18 years, NEVER reported this waste?  Hayden never blew-the-whistle on the corruption he claims to witness, every day.  Why not?

Does Hayden approve of the corruption he claims to have witnessed?  Is he just one of those good-old-boys who goes-along-to-get-along?  Perhaps he is part of the corrupt process himself?  Maybe Bill Hayden is the problem?

Right now, the legislative budget committees are holding hearings in Trenton that will determine how much bureaucracies like the Department of Transportation get to spend.  Hayden is a Trenton bureaucrat.  The committees should ask him to testify about the waste he claims to have witnessed.  Maybe they'll prune his department and cut a few jobs, cut out the waste, and save some taxpayers' money.

It's been 18 years.  18 years of waste and corruption.  It shouldn't take 18 years to speak up.  It shouldn't take running for office to speak up.  We shouldn't have to read about it in a vague, non-specific newspaper ad asking for votes.  It is the job of every American to fight government waste and corruption -- and the fight is every day.  Not just when you are running for office.  Not once in 18 years.
